Dommin’s new CD ‘Love is Gone’ is one of their best works yet. This CD has 15 tracks of very enjoyable music. Formed in Los Angeles by Kristopher Dommin in 2004 they have been through quite an experience to get to where they are today. Staring off by putting their music on MYspace and Youtube they gained some fans. They put out their first album ‘Mend Your Misery’ and signed with Roadrunner Records in 2008. Since then they have put out another album, ‘Love is Gone’ and have built up their popularity to achieve the attention and fan base every band wants. As for their CD, it includes an awesome variety of instruments and sounds making it very original. Dommin’s lyrics are at times upbeat and have a deeper meaning, but still retain the gothic feel the band strives for. One of their hit songs ‘Tonight’ will definitely leave its lyrics stuck in your head, leaving you singing the song all day. Kristopher, the lead vocals, has a uniquely deep voice that is a delight to listen to. But at times it is hard to understand what he is singing. His voice can produce a rock to jazz feel, making no two songs alike. Some of Dommin’s songs can really drag on more than they need to, and be a little on the whiny side. But overall this CD is worth listening to over and over again.
