2017 CMA Festival Day Two

The second day of the 2017 CMA Festival began as the previous day ended, with clear skies and beautiful weather.  Starting off the crowds were less than day one.  Must have been a good party the night before.  Another great lineup awaited the country music fans.

The morning got kickoff quickly in great fashion with Tyler Farr on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage.  He got the early crowd ready for a great day of music with his hits, including “A Guy Walks Into a Bar”.  Following Farr was the Eli Young Band and Corey Smith. Granger Smith brought delighted the fans next with his show.  Smith always brings the crowd to their feet.  Alternative rock band Sister Hazel followed Smith to the stage at the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage for a mid-day change of pace.  Next up was Chris Lane who has been on tour supporting his latest album “Girl Problems” released last year.  The Chevrolet Riverfront Stage then presented two very popular artists in Josh Turner, who released his latest album “Deep South” back in March, and the beautiful Lauren Alaina.  Alaina also released a new album this year, “Road Less Traveled”.  Closing out the night on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage was radio personality Bobby Bones & the Raging Idiots and a superstar bring his beer goggles, Mr. Neal McCoy.

Other artists and stages that were playing at the same time was the Chevrolet Park Stage which had artists such as guitarist terror Lindsay Ell, Brook Eden, Mo Pitney, and the Swan Brothers.  The Gildan Broadway Stage at Hard Rock Café presented artists such as Ryan Kinder, Chris Bandl, Olivia Lane, and Jo Smith to name a few.  The new Budweiser Forever Country Stage had some nice acts playing to a large crowd behind the Ascend Amphitheater.  Some of the acts included in the day’s entertainment was Trick Pony, Darryl Worley, James Otto, the amazing Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers with Larry sporting his Nashville Preds jersey, and Ray Scott.  The Cracker Barrell Country Roads Stage at the Ascend Amphitheater ended the night on the downtown side of the river with Kellie Pickler and Sara Evans.

Once it get late in the day the party switches across the river to Nissan Stadium.  The night kicked off with Trace Adkins, followed by Rascal Flatts and Dustin Lynch.  Next up was Sam Hunt who has really gotten big in the last few years with is unique style.  Kelsea Ballerini then warmed up the crowd for the last two of the night.  Those last two of the night were the megastars Eric Church and Blake Shelton.

With great weather and even better music day two was a great success and a very entertaining day for the fans that made their way to Nashville.
